Yohei Tateishi is a cinematographer / DP based in Los Angeles. Born and raised in Tokyo, Yohei began studying film directing and cinematography at an early age. Yohei began his career as a production coordinator in Africa. In 2006 Yohei has moved to Los Angeles and started his career as a cinematographer / DP. Since then, Yohei has traveled more than 30 countries for Japanese and American TV, Commercial, and feature film projects.

In the fall of 2015, he spent a month in Saipan, Northen Mariana Island for shooting GEHENNA, a feature film made by Japanese / American director Hiroshi Katagiri. Aside from working in narrative, Yohei has a strong body of work in commercials, documentaries, and music videos. Regardless of the type of project, his goal as Cinematographer is to create images that will not only tell the story, but that will affect the viewer on a subliminal level.
